Business as usual is finally being dragged into the light of day. Burning coal and oil emit almost all greenhouse gas pollution today.

One billion tons of coal are burned in the US every year. 130 million tons of toxic ash are landfilled and 870 million tons of toxic smoke goes up the stacks. The government discourages innovation and actively blocks leaders who would do the right thing. US politicians eliminated the 1990 Clean Air Act using legal trickery and deceit, so the power companies could make more profit by delaying the installation of clean air technology.
